This also gave rise to fast fashion – inexpensive trendy pieces that are quickly produced but often have negative impacts on both workers’ rights and the environment.
Today’s fashion industry is constantly changing with new trends emerging almost every season. While some may argue that this perpetuates consumerism culture and unsustainable practices within the industry itself; others see it as an opportunity for self-expression through personal style.
Clothing no longer serves just functional purposes; it has become a part of our identity – whether consciously or unconsciously – allowing us to make statements about who we are without saying a word.
